Alison Crawshaw, Chair

THE ROLE OF THE CHAIRPERSON/INTERNATIONAL DELEGATE:
- As International Delegate attend and represent the UK and its UK members at all International business meetings of WCET.
- Establish the views of the UK members and act as their spokesperson by written response and verbally.
- Submit a written report on the UK’s membership and the countries activities to the pre Congress board meeting of WCET and for inclusion in the international report journal.
- Maintain electronic database UK membership.
- Call and chair a National Annual General Meeting.
- Prepare and submit an Annual Report at the Annual General Meeting
- Initiate and support working parties and research projects within WCET on a national basis.
- Act as ambassador for the organisation and promote WCET nationally.
- Work with other Honorary Officers and conference organisers in organising the National Conference.
- Endeavour to progressively move the organisation forward to meet the needs of the UK members, national trends and policies in Stoma Care.

THE ROLE OF THE VICE CHAIRPERSON
- Deputise for Chairperson when necessary.
- Assist Chairperson to organise committee meetings.
- Publicise and promote the philosophy and organisation aims of WCET nationally.
- Prepare publicity material for consultation with the other Honorary Officers.
- Initiate and support working parties and research projects within WCET on a national basis.
- Act as an ambassador for the organisation and promote WCET nationally.
- Work with the other Honorary Officers in organising the National Conference.
- Liaise with conference organisers in planning exhibition for National Conference.
- Liaise with conference organisers regarding organisation of National Conference.
- Endeavour to progressively move the organisation forward to meet the needs of the UK members, national trends and policies in Stoma Care.
Rebecca Davenport, Treasurer

THE ROLE OF THE HONORARY TREASURER:
- Maintain records of all receipts and payments, cheques issued and membership subscriptions. Maintain monthly spreadsheet records.
- Correspond with International Secretariat regarding membership subscriptions.
- Correspond with bankers and external examiner and ensure all accounts remain in credit.
- Ensure all income has been received and expenditure is appropriate.
- Appoint an external examiner following consultation with other Honorary Officers.
- Ensure that WCET UK has charitable cover for fundraising purpose.
- Prepare an Annual Report, to include audited accounts, to be presented at the Annual General Meeting.
- Assist the other Honorary Officers and conference organisers in organising the Annual Conference.

THE ROLE OF THE HONORARY EDUCATION OFFICER:
- Represent UK at International level by taking an active role on the education committee.
- Circulate all communication regarding education to WCET UK members.
- LiaIse with educational establishments within UK regarding stoma care courses.
- Take an active role in the organisation of the programme content incorporated into the UK annual national conference.
- Prepare an Annual Report to be presented at the Annual General Meeting.
- LiaIse with nursing press both nationally and internationally regarding the publication of relevant written material.
- Act as proof reader for specific journals, and/or delegate as appropriate to suitable WCET UK members.
- Assist the other Honorary Officers in organising the Annual Conference:-

THE ROLE OF THE HONORARY SECRETARY:
- Attend all meetings of WCET UK and record the minutes of these meetings accurately and concisely.
- Circulate all minutes to other Honorary Officers and Area Representatives for copying and circulation to all members in 17 areas within 30 days.
- Retain copies of WCET agenda, minutes and correspondence in appropriate Secretary’s file.
- Inform Chairperson, other Honorary Officers, Area Representatives and link persons of any changes that may occur within membership lists.
- Send out Area Representative proformas and collate data to present at the Annual General Meeting.
- Prepare an Annual Report to be presented at the Annual General Meeting.
- Assist the other Honorary Officers and conference organisers in organising the Annual Conference.
- Liaise with Database Co-ordinator to ensure UK membership records are up to date.

Inform international secretaries of changes in address status of UK members and forward information to UK Chair to maintain UK database.
THE ROLE OF THE AREA REPRESENTATIVE:
- Obtain the views of area membership and represent same at Area Representatives meeting at the Annual General Meeting.
- Complete annual proforma of area information and send to Secretary on request.
- Liase with Honorary officers regarding memberships within this area.
- Encourage recruitment of local nurses.
- Encourage fund raising in liaison with Honorary Officers.
- Circulate to all area members all minutes and correspondence within 30 days of receipt.
- Represent WCET UK and be available to participate in study days, meetings and educational courses.
- Encourage local members to prepare articles for submission to the BJN and GIN and present at Conference.
- Endeavour to meet with area members during the year.
- Liase with other area members and Honorary Officers regarding future Area Representative positions and hand over information when term of office completed
